Followup from discussion at Rhea's house.


Attached is the presentation on "Working with Local Govt." given last night at the MOVCA (Mid Ohio Valley Climate Action) Meeting.  It describes the work begun with the City of Marietta in support of Climate Change, and the City Comprehensive Plan.  Attached also is the text of the recent MOVCA Facebook Post on this subject.


Attached is a summary of the Marietta "City Comprehensive Plan" - highlighting those goals contained within the plan which are felt to be "climate related."


Attached is a Sign-up Sheet, passed around at last night's MOVCA meeting asking people to volunteer for teams to work on advancing those climate related projects contained within the plan.  You are welcome to use the sign-up sheet to indicate your interest in participating on a Team for working on furthering the Climate Related Goals; however, merely replying to this email is sufficient to let me know of your interest (suggest replying to me without "reply ALL").


I was pleased that there were several people who volunteered at last night's meeting.  However, there is still room and need for more.  Since many MOVCA members are from West Virginia rather than from the Marietta area, it in not surprising that ALL might not volunteer.  However, with FUUSM's closer connection to Marietta, perhaps our members will be more inclined to participate.

Having now made the presentation at the MOVCA meeting.  I plan to follow up likewise with the MOVCA Mailing List, and through the Facebook page.  Then, I'll work to get the Teams together.
