Dear all, I see at your dinner this week you are going to be discussion
diversity.
I'm writing to alert you that a grassroots initiative, What's Next Wood
County, has reached out to local govt, higher ed institutions, law
enforcement, and nonprofits to lift up this issue on MLK Day Jan 16 6:00 -
8:00 at Judge Black Annex across from the Blennerhassett Hotel. the Pres
of our county Commission, the newly elected mayor of Parkersburg, and
others will speak to the issue, and then we will break into small groups so
community members can weigh in as well. It would be fabulous if you could
bring your values and presence to this event on Monday night. We are
hoping our elected officials will understand that people in the community
and MOV want to be welcoming to all people.
I've attached a simple flyer as well as the press release we are using.
Please distribute to your own networks as well. We would be most grateful.
