[Green] Wayne National Forest

Gree Sanctuary Committee,

      A few weeks ago I received an announcement that the U.S. Bureau of
Land Management (BLM) was arranging  public  sessions on the plan to offer
leasing to oil & gas companies for fracking in the Marietta Unit of Wayne
National Forest. Two public sessions were announced--both at 6 p.m. on
April 8 & 9. I attended the April 8 session (scheduled at the dinner hour
and eclipse day). I think that there were just a few people there. I don't
know if anyone else from GSC attended either one of these sessions.

    At the April 8 session I posed a question about brine waste, which was
inadequately answered.  We were told that comments may be submitted online
until May 6.

    I have drafted the attached comments and would welcome any edits before
I submit it.
