[Green] Virtual Green Sanctuary meeting. PLEASE REPLY with your input, comments, ideas

1.  The solar class has 4 registrants, and bless their heart, another 
person called this morning to pay for the class so that would make 5 (we 
didn't take payment yet).  We sent an email to the 4 that are registered 
to see if they want to go ahead with the class or wait.  Jay is willing 
to go ahead, but I think we need to wait and see if there is a wave of 
the virus hitting communities and the hospitals that serve them, which 
the facts and figures show (NY Gov. Cuomo has promoted this idea today 
in his news conference).  The panic that has been obvious since last 
week (and now the stock market), only makes me feel that anything we do 
with the class ought to wait until we can have a success with the goal 
of 10 or 12 students.  Plus, it seems that the church administration 
currently prefers that no activities are held for the next couple of 
weeks, but I think this will go even longer if we consider that the 
primary people getting the virus are older folks, and we older folks 
make up a large portion of those who attend services.

2.  As for the sustainability forum, I am of the opinion that we should 
wait until fall.  This is not based on the fact that people can't learn 
to use Zoom, but the fact that as of today I, for one, am completely 
focused on how to guide our business from the events we've planned, to 
postponing them until fall (when the schedule was already fairly full).  
I am also painfully aware that the role that I've played in my life, as 
an empathetic person, is to keep those I love safe.  This includes 
humans but also my livestock and pets.  If I am to stay focused on what 
I have to do to make those things happen I don't see myself having the 
energy to put effort into anything else.  Surely there are other people 
who are feeling that sort of distraction as well.

I did send Larry from Busy Bee a note, after he said they are having 
problems with sourcing food that I would get back to him today about 
whether or not we needed them to be our meal source. It seems safe to 
say that I can let him know we are not going to need food.

Let's regroup as best we can with the idea that we've done a lot of hard 
work, and we can plan for a September or October or even November 
forum.  Annie
