Hi Green friends,

Thank you for sending that list of dates, Adeline. 

Now let’s talk about RE for April. We tentatively came up with “Putting the Seventh Principle into Practice” as the theme.

We discussed these topics for April 2,9,23, and 30 (but not 16, because it’s Easter):

Water
Local foods, including CSAs, and perhaps getting a CSA farmer to come talk
The Climatarian diet
Reading Food Labels (including “organic,” “all natural,” “non GMO,” “cage free,” “free range,” grass fed
Meat: how to tell if it’s humanely raised and slaughtered
Energy

I said I would contact Thomas Blane to see if he would do a session with us. He’s the Associate Prof at OSU who will be speaking on Global Climate Change and Gardening for the Extension service from 1-2:30 at Graham Auditorium, WCC, 710 Colegate Drive, Marietta. FREE. (Add that to list of green events, please.)

Do I have any volunteers to be a presenter or discussion leader or otherwise to take responsibility for one of those RE sessions and/or topics?  RE is 9:30-10:30 Sunday in the Fellowship Hall.

Also, we’re hoping we can claim April 2 for our annual service, and I’ll ask Dave B. if he would consider being the primary speaker for that event. 

I will check with Rev Kat and the Worship & Music committee to see if we can have that date, and then check with Dave.

I hope I got all that right. 

And then there’s Earth Day. Let’s get our RE and service obligations nailed down first.
