Subject: [AppalachianCluster] All ages dual platform future!

A few weeks ago, CER held a very well attended event to help congregations
begin planning for a future of both in person congregational life while
continuing online inclusion. (Catch up on that program here
<https://www.uua.org/leadership/library/cer-dual-platform>!)
To be fully inclusive congregations need to attend to the needs of families
with children and youth—many of whom congregations are already struggling
to serve online but also may not be able to be part of an in person Sunday
experience safely until vaccines are available for children and youth.
Therefore a return to in person congregational life while not planning how
to include parents, children, and youth will result in more exclusion.
Planning to do this inclusively will take joint planning across the
congregational leadership including ministers, boards, religious educators,
and volunteers in religious education. In many congregations boards and
ministers are not involved in the day to day planning for religious
education and so building this level of team work will take effort and
intention.
This event is hosted by Congregational Life staff nationally and will
include the voices of staff from all regions. Participants will meet with
small groups of similarly sized congregations to share learning and ideas
moving forward. By sending a team, on any of the dates, you’ll have more
people in more small group conversations and will be able to bring a richer
conversation back to your congregation.
This program is free and is being offered on 4 dates and times. Your team
members can attend any of the dates. Register here
