[Worship] Hymns already cleared by UUA for virtual use

Hi, Randy –

My guess is that if the words are not being sung, the lyricist does not need to be cited. Many tunes have multiple lyrics attached to them.

Good morning Martha. I need clarification. So if I play a hymn as a piano solo and words are not being sung, do I need to cite the lyricist as well as the composer for the OOS? I usually just cite the composer since I'm not using the words. What about a piano solo of a secular song that had both a composer and lyricist?

This is a link to a list of hymns and reading prepared by UUA that can be used because copyright issues have already been resolved.  It is a good resource.

We do need to orally and in writing give information about song-writer and lyricist.
