Agenda for June 3, 2020 Meeting of the Worship & Music Committee
Watch for Invitation to Zoom meeting 5:00 p.m. June 3

1.. Minutes for May meeting to be approved.
2.. Proposed Budget for 2020-2021 has been adjusted: Cost of sheet music will be covered by Novak Special Fund for the Music Department; Worship Program allotment has been reduced to $1589.94. Total for W & M: $2859.94
3.. Request for payment of $200 to Andrew McKnight for Zoom worship service on July 19, 2020.
4.. Novak Special Fund for the Music Department
Some funds will go toward buying sheet music for all the choir members. Such action will honor

copyright laws, show respect for composers and arrangers, and establish a library for Choir music.

· The Choir Director will be permitted to request money from the Novak Special Fund to cover costs beyond those budgeted.

· Adeline will notify Martha Webster of the procedures. (Reimbusement form)

5.. Annual Report has been submitted and orally presented at Annual Meeting.
6.. Theme for 2020- 2021: interdependent web of all existence - wording to be refined
7.. Goal of Maintaining Sense of Community: Use of a Call Tree Nancy Luthy -- Committee chairs are willing to notify their members; a few others do not have email and they will be contacted directly by other means. Otherwise, the office email list will be utilized.
8.. Spiritual Support: We are making progress. Darryl Ting's round-robin uplifting quotations have been a big boon; Zoom "coffee hour" check-ins have been successful, too.
9.. Moving Forward with Virtual Worship Services: What are next steps??
We are consistently emailing the order of service, emailing coordinated music for listening at any time, live-streaming on Zoom and Facebook (which then has video for viewing later). Ralph has explored development of video; the service for May 10 played the video through Zoom and on Facebook; the video will be on the FUUSM website for additional viewing. Ralph opened a YouTube account so that the video for May 24 was viewed there as well. The Committee committed to taking responsibility and/or to collaborating with Kat for one or two services per month.
