Worship Team-

I will have to miss being with you in person on Wed July 3, but I could use facetime or phone to chime in at the usual time – and share information via email in advance.
I know we had to scramble to clarify some dates for the Confluence, but I think we are on track now. I apologize for my part in the confusion.

*I signed Stassa up to serve with me as Worship Leaders on July 21. No need for another Worship Assoc.

I added Lawrence Greene & Drum Circle based on his availability for Sunday Aug. 4.
After a heavy day of Leadership Training on Sat. Aug 3 for Board and Committee Leaders, the drumming will be a very embodied experience on Sunday. I talked with him about drumming outside for half hour, then take a break so some can go into Fellowship Hall for conversation and reflection, while others keep drumming outside (weather permitting).
The drumming will have a noise factor, but if people sit close in a circle or use a mic, they might hear each other over the drumming outside.

Contract with the Choir Director Martha Webster.
I can’t tell from the budget as it is not spelled out. $50 a week and $200 a month for 10 months seems like a bare minimum, but it is a place to start. The Novak gift to our music program could help us pay what she is worth.
Martha and Randy are also talking with the choir about an evening rehearsal once a month to supplement Sunday mornings. Need to have a basic contract and spell out expectations around communication, etc.
*That same time slot might allow for an evening Adult RE series or a Sharing Circle (part RE & Meditation/Worship)
As those are mostly offered at the same time as choir practice on Sunday mornings (we know why, but perhaps there is a fresh approach to try).

*Deadline for MOV-MCF sponsorship with the PR goodies was May 1st, so I suggest we need to direct funds for next year’s event. I’ll revisit topic in January so we are on target for the deadline.

Suzyn – Hope Mark is progressing in health and well being.
Bright Blessings, Rev. Kat Hawbaker
