Hi, W & M folks -- We'll be meeting this Wednesday, hopefully a short meeting. Those of you needing to leave for the Women's Group gathering can leave when needed.
Please do some pre-thinking about
a. the UU Carnival scheduled for August 26 and
b. the assessment of a service in July.

Andrew McKnight has agreed to provide special music and the reflection for September 23. Cost will be $200.

Dennis Warner (Beads on One String-anti-bullying) is a possibility for fall of 2019. She

            is coordinating with other venues.

3.. Worship Associates Team: Orient/re-orient so that all duties are addressed consistently.
    4.. Piano Task Force: Suzyn

6.. Task Force for the Time for All Ages:

4.. Coordination with Buildings & Grounds: Maggie (Please see email with report.)
5.. The Committee suggested that all committees allocated a bulletin board (Membership, Social Justice, Green Sanctuary) should designate a person to keep the display up-to-date and attractive. Nancy Lee has agreed to coordinate this oversight and the bulletin boards for Community Resources and FUUSM Events.
6.. Feedback on implementation of the special collection for Black Lives UU and the Going Forth pilot project: Kat
7.. Expenditures: The Committee agreed that Mike Bailey should seek reimbursement for the personal phone charges incurred when that connection was needed for live-streaming of the GA worship service. Mike will do so if/when he is charged.
Approval of Stipends for outside speakers in August --

  9.. Assessment of July services:
What went well:

What to refine: Diverse Perspectives: communicated by flowers and content of service

Thematic:

Spirituality/Faith Traditions: communion

Life Span:

10.. Proposal to Board needed? Kat observed that coverage of a booth at the Multicultural Festival was difficult to arrange and suggested, instead, that FUUSM visibility might be more effectively achieved by being a sponsor of the event for a cost of $500. Our name and information would be on the website and other advertisements.
[Displaying the FUUSM banner at the picnic site also gives visibility. Other idea: UUs could wear our t-shirt on Sunday and carry information cards to pass out when people inquire.]

  11.. Services for August, September:
12.. Theme for Year 2018-2019: "How can we inspire leaders for a complex world?" [Try inductive approach and re-cap]
13.. 2017-18 "How do we create a world of our values?"
