The women’s group is singing on the 22nd and we are doing The Battle Hymn of Women, slightly rewritten by Martha McGovern and me. It has nothing to do with Annie’s service on the 29th, for which I’m worship leader. We are using mostly recorded music on the 29th in the event that Randy won’t be with us. I assume a quick rehearsal with the Women’s Group next week for the 22nd service—we can sing a cappella without Randy because it’s to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. That catches you up to date on those two services, and I just printed out my 6”x6” photo and bio—which I will bring to church on Sunday.

First, Gwen Noe and Suzyn do you want to send me something to say on your photo for the Banner. Please do it by Saturday if you can. I want to put the photos up on Sunday. I have them printed so we can write directly on the photos with you comment. If that is OK with you.
I am sorry about my comment on the song. It had nothing to do with allowing anything. I am not criticizing the song or the service you are putting together. I was only making a comment and I am glad the song is okay with everyone.
For me personally I liked "I am Woman Hear me Roar. All of us standing there roaring sounds good to me. It's going to be a little hard for me to stand up and sing that I want to grow up to do things a man can do. Because women are already doing them and they're doing them better and they're getting grief for it. I'm just heartbroken that Elizabeth Warren had to drop out andI am in a pissed off aggressive mood. right now. I guess I am just an old angry feminist who thinks we should have passed this point by now.
I didn't want to make waves, just stating an opinion. It's all a little raw right now. And it is all happening in Women's History month: how ironic and sad. Sorry not much humor in me right now.

Jane, it’s a plea to be allowed to do the same stuff as the guys. Sorry you don’t like it, but perhaps you’d allow us to form this service with a little humor and some slants that have an edge. I’ve passed it by several other people and it’s been okayed. There will be plenty of other elements that you will probably love.

I'm not so crazy about the song. The first thing she says is that she wants to be a boy. Not good.

Here's an update for the March 29th service for women's history month. Three men have agreed to share a short story about a woman that helped them thrive in life. They are of various ages and I'm super excited to see how this will work. Some of the men I asked were really uncomfortable with the idea of talking about themselves, but these men are pleased to have the opportunity. Suzyn Mills is graciously helping me put things together but if you have some ideas or want to do one of the readings, etc. don't hesitate to be in touch. Suzyn found a great song called, "Gonna be an engineer" https://youtu.be/8IGVxBb5uYk.

Hi All
Just a reminder to bring your photos and statement to church on Sunday or send them to me at jtumas.serna at gmail.com.
You can pin your photos and statements on the Banner. Try to keep them to a 6 inch X 6 inch space. They can be a little bigger if they have cut-out parts. They don't have to be squares or circles. It will add variety if they are irregular shapes. Get creative and bring them on Sunday.
also photos of women in your life. They should be regular shaped and structured enough that they will stand on their own on the ledge.
Send me statements if you want to use the photos Ralph and Mike took. :Let Mike or me know if you want to use their photos.
Can you tell me something about Diane Bungard, and LuAnne Maddox and Iwana Simon? Jim sent me a photo on my phone of Iwana but it won't download.
Thanks, Jane 740-706-6284
