[Green] Green Sanctuary: August minutes and Sept. proposed agenda

Hello, dear Greenies!

How can it be the third Sunday of September coming up already?  I don't
know, but I do know we will be having a GSC meeting at 12:30ish in the RE
parlor. Attached are Adeline's excellent minutes from our August meeting,
taken while she was in Hilton Head!  Now, that's dedication!

Here's what we need to talk about on Sunday. Let's keep the first several
discussions as succinct as possible, because the last one is going to take
a lot of time.

1. Solar bench:

a. We have city's green light to move it.
b. Where to? Most expedient would be to use the work Annie has done, to
place it at former Genealogy & Local History museum, at Washington and
Fifth. Other ideas?
c. Before we move it, let's get a Memorandum of Understanding in place with
the property owner of it is moved regarding ownership and maintenance.

2. November calendar for Solar Bench
3. Rebecca has the floor.
4. George has the floor.
5. Ginnie has the floor. (FaCT's annual meeting will be Saturday, Sept. 28
at 3 p.m., and then Ted Auch will present "The Use of Data in
Understanding Social
Justice and the Urban/Rural Divide"--the next in their distinguished
speaker series. (Bad timing, since that's the day of our Climate Justice
Revival--which ends at 3:30. So the really strong and ambitious of us can
tune in!)
6. Mark has the floor. Walk for the Wild will be at noon on Oct. 13;
walking or running only (no bikes or kayaks).
7. MOVCA has the floor.

8. Details of the Sept. 28-29 Climate Justice Revival!

a. How many registrations so far?
b. Who will facilitate what?
c. Lunch: purchasing, preparing, setting out, cleaning up, etc.
d. Sunday session: who will do what?

e. Other things


Yes, everything above is important and worthy, but item 8 is #1 right now,
because when we meet, the Climate Justice Revival will be just 13 days
away!!  YIKES.

If I've forgotten anything, please let me know by Saturday at 5 p.m. Hope
to see you all at the meeting on Sunday!
