[Green] Green Sanctuary May meeting minutes, and AN URGENT ASSIGNMENT!!

Dear Green friends,

Attached, please find minutes from our May meeting—thanks to Adeline, as usual, for doing a thorough job!

Her minutes record our decision to VOTE TOMORROW!!! on whether we wish to advance Ginnie McNeil’s proposal that FUUSM become the southeastern Ohio Anchor congregation for FaCT Ohio. The reading materials, three pages, are in the minutes (toward the end).  Please read them or re-read them, and send me your vote by 9 p.m. Thursday, June 1!!  Feel free to send food for thought, arguments pro or con, and general discussion on the topic to green at fuusm.org <mailto:green at fuusm.org> before 9 p.m. tomorrow, so we can make an informed decision. 

If we agree that this is an appropriate endeavor for FUUSM and the GSC, Ginnie has agreed to be the liaison between the two organizations. I would point out that FaCT Ohio started 11 years ago in a UU congregation! 

(The truth of the matter, really, is that I will be heading out of town at 6 a.m. Friday, returning Saturday evening. (Representing Zeiss optics at a birding festival. I won’t be tallying votes until Saturday night at the earliest. But still, let’s get this ball rolling ASAP, and get it to the goal line in time for the June Board of Trustees meeting, which, if the church lady recalls correctly, is early next week.)

Also, didn’t someone say they would work on the wording for the solar bench sign? The minutes don’t reflect this. Was it me? I hope not. I hope someone remembers—or will step up for this small but important job.

Finally, Anne Sparks, were you at the meeting via Zoom? We can’t remember.
