GSC,
I think that I mentioned the report from the US Army Corps of Engineers' on the Muskingum Watershed at our last meeting. Dr. Randi Pokladnik, an environmental scientist who lives in Harrison County, Dr. Ted Auch of FrackTracker, and I participated in a WebEx meeting on this report sponsored by the USACE. The three of us were very upset that nothing in this report mentioned the impact of the oil & gas industry on the watershed. We each sent our comments to the USACE. We also sent a request to Senator Sherrod Brown asking for his assistance on this matter. Working with his staff member, Pam Rosado, we wrote up a "request for assistance" to the senator. I've attached a copy of the request for assistance and the resulting letter from Senator Brown to the USACE in D.C. I am not optimistic, however, about the USACE response--I think the most we'll get is another public session, but at least that will give us a chance to mobilize more people, like you, to express your views in support of our position.
