Last Friday I attended a webinar sponsored by Senator Sherrod Brown's office called Re-imagine Appalachia. It was about making the transition in Appalachia from extractive industries and auto-assembly (fossil-fueled autos) to manufacturing for and with clean energy. There are many ideas about how to transform our economy, such as transforming auto plants into battery-assembly plants.
