Thanks for sending the lovely weather Dawn. Follow-up for the solar
installer class. We've moved the class to online and will hold the lab
portions in Zanesville in August. This needed to be done in order not
to loose the students - some of which had deadlines for their
certification. I'm sad that it didn't work out with FUUSM but we didn't
think it safe to proceed. We'll have to try the solar generator class
once things are different - perhaps in late spring 2021. If UU Green
Sanctuary wants to do some marketing to try to fill the class we'd be
happy to share a portion of the revenue. Right now there are six
students but we can take several more since the class is online, and the
lab days can be extended to accommodate more students.
I'm also thinking we might discuss the Dupont grant. I think it looked
pretty good. George, Dawn and I worked on it to expand out the data
collection and ideas for how Sustainable Marietta could utilize the
money to impact the MOV region. Perhaps we should have a meeting to
begin a time line for a possible online webinar or marketing strategies
that will "educate" folks well ahead of a possible spring 2021 online
event. Annie
