Dear Rebecca,

Good news! Earth Vision Institute is providing the feature film for this year’s Faith Climate Action Week – The Human Element – and they have decided to offer a link to view the film for free online during Faith Climate Action Week to all Interfaith Power & Light congregations, organizations, and individuals.

Sign up here to receive the link to view on April 17, good through April 26. <http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=An2bY2BYcpAUKlCV68BdtcT7adk8VIFZ>

This kind offer is the film group’s way of giving back to the community and supporting you in your efforts to stay connected with your congregation during the coronavirus pandemic when gatherings are prohibited.

Interfaith Power & Light is suggesting that you prepare your congregation in advance to view the film online at home during Faith Climate Action Week April 17 – 26. And plan a follow up teleconference or videoconference call to discuss the film with your congregation.

In an arresting new documentary environmental photographer James Balog, of Chasing Ice fame, captures the lives of everyday Americans on the front lines of climate change. With rare compassion and heart, The Human Element relays captivating stories from coast-to-coast, inspiring us to reevaluate our relationship with the natural world.

Preview the film, download the screening kit, and sign up to receive the link to view. <http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=dP3HS3d1zZV%2FjcbUcLQvM8T7adk8VIFZ>

The screening kit includes faith-based discussion questions and resources to promote viewing the film to your congregants: images and suggested language for your email newsletter, congregational website, and social media posts.

Share this link to sign up with members of your congregation.<http://salsa4.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=KoHbQSPsSyFrqiqgT3%2FjKsT7adk8VIFZ>

Please do not share the link to view or the password directly, we'd like to have people sign up individually to get the link to view so that we can report that number to the filmmaker. It's the least we can do to thank them for the free link to view.

During this time, it is important that we provide opportunities for connection and community. We hope that this online film screening will leave people feeling inspired to continue their advocacy on climate change and connected to the faith climate action movement.

With prayers for your health and well-being,
