Hello all, I am overseas right now but will return on Wednesday evening. I discussed with Mike Bailey. We envisioned 3-4 places on the Lafayette parking lot for collecting with containers for cans and maybe a bucket to dump excess liquid in, each manned by a GS volunteer. Event goes from 6:00 to approximately 10:00 pm on July 5th. I can try to answer other questions via email or by phone when I return next week. Thank you, Jay and Stassa Phillips. PS- you are welcome to use any money collected from aluminum as you wish. BJFM is not asking for any of those funds.

> SUPER!! I remember the discussion. The discussion included having the group invest in identifiable Green Recycling Trash Cans, to improve the likelihood of the beverage cans ending up being separated. Having monitors to encourage separation would also help. I'd be willing to donate one trash can - reusable for future similar use. "Splitting the take" would be a nice gesture. I'd take a shift.

So we'd need to have bags and a truck or something close by to remove cans for recycling. As I remember the discussion, there was an unanswered question of sharing the aluminum with the Marietta recycling center.

My impression is that we stand by the recycling bin(s) and try to prevent trash contamination. Meanwhile, we’d probably get in free (saving a whopping $5), but we’d get to enjoy the music.
