I didn’t reply before but I am sorry for your email troubles. I agree we should keep memberships in the two groups. I won’t be in town on March 4 unfortunately. A hoedown should be fun and I hope I will be able to attend.

I wondered why I had received so few emails in the past few days. Anyway, I fixed the problem last night, and Tim showed me your replies on his phone. But the only one I have stored is Kelcey's, because she resent it. And now I have Dawn Ellen's.

>>> Chris just called and set up the Betsey Mills gym for us for Apr. 21 for a hoedown/line dance/contra to do as a benefit for the Solar Match Fund. That is assuming everyone would still like to do that. Chris is donating is time as a caller, Dawn said she could call a contra or two, and we have plenty of line dance and country dance music for in between. We can't get in to the gym until 7, which is unfortunate since I was hoping the dance could be 7-10, but we could start at 7:30, so we'd have a little time for set up.
>>> We can talk more specifics later, in person. We will have to pay for the rental. Dawn and I were discussing a charge at the door of $5 pp, and then donation cans, maybe charging for food, or just asking for a donation? I was thinking snack/munchie type items, donated by Green Sanctuary members, but certainly open to other ideas.
>>> It would be a community dance, open to the public, so hopefully with some advertising, we can get good attendance. If we plan on going ahead with it, I will make up flyers and have them ready by the reg. March meeting for members to distribute.
>>> We are limited to dates due to our own time constraints, as well as the Betsey. I realize that Apr. 21 is also the middle of all the Earth Day activities, which may work to our advantage, (maybe even some free advertising??) but will make for a very busy day for all of us. So thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. It will also be our last chance to make any money for the Solar Match Fund.
