Dance on Earth day fine with me, I'd bake some goodies and sell them. It's okay to advertise at Eday, as well

I sent this as a reply to our "virtual meeting" that Dawn set up, but had no comments, and it bounced back once, so I thought I'd try to send it again.

Chris just called and set up the Betsey Mills gym for us for Apr. 21 for a hoedown/line dance/contra to do as a benefit for the Solar Match Fund. That is assuming everyone would still like to do that. Chris is donating is time as a caller, Dawn said she could call a contra or two, and we have plenty of line dance and country dance music for in between. We can't get in to the gym until 7, which is unfortunate since I was hoping the dance could be 7-10, but we could start at 7:30, so we'd have a little time for set up.
We can talk more specifics later, in person. We will have to pay for the rental. Dawn and I were discussing a charge at the door of $5 pp, and then donation cans, maybe charging for food, or just asking for a donation? I was thinking snack/munchie type items, donated by Green Sanctuary members, but certainly open to other ideas.
It would be a community dance, open to the public, so hopefully with some advertising, we can get good attendance. If we plan on going ahead with it, I will make up flyers and have them ready by the reg. March meeting for members to distribute.
We are limited to dates due to our own time constraints, as well as the Betsey. I realize that Apr. 21 is also the middle of all the Earth Day activities, which may work to our advantage, (maybe even some free advertising??) but will make for a very busy day for all of us. So thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. It will also be our last chance to make any money for the Solar Match Fund.

Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Kelcey and Chris
