A worthwhile event which is, unfortunately, the same weekend as the service
auction and the Green Sanctuary Committee meeting.

>From November 17th-20th, I am joining hundreds of pipeline and fossil fuel
infrastructure activists in Pittsburgh PA to learn, train, and strategize
in our collective fight to stop the fossil fuel industry's assault on
tribes and communities across the U.S. and Canada.
This summit will be great for activists who are ready to take their
organizing to the next level. I hope you can join me! *You can sign up
here: http://peoplevsoilgas.org/register/
<http://peoplevsoilgas.org/register/>.*
The summit will kick off on Friday, November 17th with a welcome from the
local Pittsburgh community and informative panel discussions. On Saturday
and Sunday, we get into the nitty-gritty with skills trainings and strategy
building sessions. The morning skills trainings are going to be based on
four tracks:
- Technical/Legal
- Organizing
- Political
- Action & Arts
In the afternoons, we will host collaborative discussions on the many
fronts in this fight and talk through strategies so we can keep winning. On
Monday, we will hit the streets, following the local Pittsburgh community's
lead on the many corporations attacking our communities.
*Are you ready to sign up yet? Register here
<http://peoplevsoilgas.org/register/>.*
Lastly, we want everyone who should be in this space to be there. We have
set up a scholarship fund to bring frontline and grassroots activists to
Pittsburgh. You can apply to the scholarship fund when you register
<http://peoplevsoilgas.org/register/>. This fund is being managed by other
frontline activists and grassroots activist; with a sprinkling of
non-profit employees. These scholarships will provide; flights and hotel
shuttle or gas reimbursement and parking, housing (a shared hotel room with
another activist), and meals (Friday: Lunch and Dinner, Saturday:
Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, Sunday: Breakfast and Lunch, and Monday:
Breakfast).
I am super excited about this summit and hope you can join me in Pittsburgh!
See you there!
