[Green] Our Green Service in April

Dear Green Friends,

Rumor has it that April 2 has been planned for a different service; but also, on April 23, Gene Berry will be talking about water: "Where Has All the Water Gone:  Is water a basic human right or is it a commodity?”  So, maybe we can co-opt that service as our own? (Thanks for letting me know, Karen.)

The Worship and Music Committee will be meeting March 1, and I’m inclined to withdraw my request that we take the April 2 service. Is that OK with you? Even so, we really ought to target that service to announce the matching grant for more solar. Agreed?

Maybe we can ask Dave Ballantyne to do a RE session—or even two. Inn addition to enabling the solar installation on our roof, he’s also been working with Marietta City officials on their energy and environmental efforts. He gave a great presentation at MOVCA on that topic, and he’s looking for volunteers to help. I suspect he’d be happy to use a RE session to talk about that (and possibly enlist a few of us).

Please let me know what you think about these plans.
