[Green] News on MOVCA meetings and changes in next meetings

Hi all,
It's been a busy time for MOVCA and it's wonderful to have so many FUUSM
folks participating.

If you are not currently a member of MOVCA (Mid Ohio Valley Climate Action)
I'm attaching the minutes from the last two meetings.  At the January 19th
 Meeting both Roger Wilkens  and Dave Ballantyne were our inspiring
speakers, plus there were some great contributions from Dave Pickering.
Participation by FUUSM members and friends made a big difference! Dave's
work with the City of Marietta is impressive and he needs all the help he
can get so perhaps we can help more there, too.  If you weren't there ( or
are not yet a member), you can read about what you missed in my recorded
minutes. There are also numerous weblinks that may interest you.

The 2-2-17 minutes of the MOVCA business meeting clarify new work in
formalizing the organization with the creation of bylaws, fiscal policies,
new officiers, formailizing agreement to meet at our new location: The
First Christian Church, 1400 Washington Ave, Parkersburg, .. and more..

MOVCA PUBLIC Outreach meetings are USUALLY the third Thursdays of each
month 7-9pm at The First Christian Church, 1400 Washington Ave, Parkersburg
HOWEVER- because an important Citizens' Lobby Workshop is being held that
same evening,  *The next regularly scheduled MOVCA Public Outreach Meeting
WILL NOT TAKE PLACE on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 7-9pm. *

Eric Engle, MOVCA's chairman, sent this email announcement to membership
(2-8-17):* “IN PLACE OF OUR NEXT MOVCA MEETING, WE HAVE DECIDED TO ATTEND A
CITIZENS' LOBBYING WORKSHOP SPONSORED BY CITIZENS' ACTION GROUP
ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH FROM 6 P.M. TO 8 P.M. THE WORKSHOP IS
POTENTIALLY AT WVU-P IN THE THEATER ROOM, BUT IF THERE IS A CHANGE OF VENUE
I WILL BE SURE YOU'RE MADE AWARE. IF THE WORKSHOP IS HELD AT THE COLLEGE,
WE WILL LIKELY BE ABLE TO SET UP AN MOVCA TABLE OUTSIDE OF THE
ENTRANCE/EXIT DOORS OF THE THEATER ROOM. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY!” *

This workshop is free and open to the public may be of interest to you too.

JUST ANNOUNCED by Eric Engle (2/10/17) *MOVCA has been able to arrange a
Meeting *on This coming Tuesday, February 14th (Valentine's Day), an
organizational meeting is being held at the First Christian Church 1400
Washington Avenue Parkersburg, WV from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  As Eric Engle
stated "This is an opportunity to get those on our membership list
organized into taking individual actions, as well as classifying some
committees that members can be part of. The focus of this meeting that has
been sort of thrown into the schedule is *to get people active and started
taking real initiative in any and every way they can."*

Somehow, I've been elected the MOVCA secretary.. and feeling a bit
overwhelmed! But who doesn't these days!   I'm attaching the minutes which
are mentioned above,If you have questions i'd be glad to try to answer them
