Hi Dawn,
Thanks for your hard and excellent work. Jim and I would be happy to help with the brochure activity providing we are in town. The press release is well written. I am just suggesting a thought to place the paragraph about the Mid-Ohio Valley people hoping to support solar at the beginning of the press release. This might capture attention of the community at large and not just UUs. What do others think?
Again, great job Dawn.
Debra

Subject: [Green] Draft press release for Solar Match Fund
Friends,
Attached, please find a press release for the Solar Match Fund. (Ha! I remembered to attach it!) I welcome constructive comments! Once perfected, I propose sending it to the Marietta Times, WTAP, and the Appalachian Oracle. (Others?) Target mailing: September 1.
Also, I made 100 copies of the brochure. I propose that we mail a copy of the brochure and an invitation to the September 15 Just Dinner fundraiser to all FUUSM members, as well as to members of other local environmental groups, such as MOVCA, FLMR, OH-Sun coop members, and even the Ohio Environmental Council—if we can obtain their snail mail addresses. And if not, we can send PDFs of the brochure to the group leaders and ask them to pass it along to their membership. Or something like that.
But first, let’s mail the brochure and an invitation to FUUSM members and friends. Shall I ask Chris Keller for a list, or, better still, mailing labels? Can we plan a brochure folding/envelope stuffing party at my house sometime in the next week or two?
Then, I propose we plan on a Faithify campaign for no more than $3,000 to start in early October.
How’s that for a plan?
—dawn h.
