[Green] Budget request?

Green Sanctuary Colleagues:

     As a member of the Finance Committee and Green Sanctuary, I would add that it would help our budget planning if there were NOT an additional line item for Green Sanctuary in our operating budget. If there is an new line item for GS, then that raises expenses for 2016-17 in our budget and increases our deficit in the budget that will finally be presented to the congregation. If a back-up of funds is needed for a special event, we can look at ways to support it when the situation arises.

     Regarding the Universalist event on Friday May 20, we expect only 25-30 people. Part of the cost of their  registration will go towards food costs (about $35) so FUUSM is in a position to earn some money if we provide the three meals they are asking for (Friday dinner, Saturday lunch& dinner). GS is just being asked about the Friday dinner. I thought we agreed to that oat our meeting on Sunday.

I don't think we need to request funding through the annual budget, 
although having something there as a backup does seem useful. But the 
aluminum sales have been the means of support for our activities, and

that with some numbers in mind. (Not opposed to doing it, just want to 
know what the expectations are.)
