[Green] Budget request?

Dear Chairlady Dawn,
Budget requests--guess we forgot to put that duty in the job
description, but I know you can handle it.
I don't think we need to request funding through the annual budget,
although having something there as a backup does seem useful. But the
aluminum sales have been the means of support for our activities, and
expenses that GS members encounter can be reimbursed through that fund.
There is actually more than the money shown in the special fund: Mike
has been acting as the financial officer, and has found it expedient to
keep some of the money in cash to ease reimbursements. While I don't
like the idea of unrecorded funds, I do see his point.
As for future Earth Day expenses, this budget would be for next fiscal
only (which would cover 2017 Earth Day).
I do have some concerns about possible costs for the proposed Just
Dinner in May for the Universalist Convocation: might need to look at
that with some numbers in mind. (Not opposed to doing it, just want to
know what the expectations are.)
And thank you for chairing the committee! You're doing a great job.
Adeline

Presently, there are no funds allocated to the Green Sanctuary Committee, however we have $165.45 in our account from aluminum sales (thanks, Mike!), and that’s after renewing our membership with Friends of the Lower Muskingum River.
