*Helpers needed with winter clothing giveaway—next week.*
You already received the email, but just to reiterate: If you can donate
winter clothing, help curate and organize donations (11–3 Thursday and
Friday, Nov. 16 and 17), and/or help on the day of the giveaway (10–2
Saturday, November 18), please contact Nancy Lee at (740) 630-6326, or
Shari Ballantyne at (740) 568-8200. It takes 20 UUs to change a
lightbulb: Seven
to form a committee to discuss the ecological implications of compact
fluorescent vs. incandescent bulbs, six to form a committee to discuss
labor practices, six on the aesthetics committee to discuss the exact tint
and wattage, and one who goes ahead and does it without consulting anyone
else.
