Here is a link to the Proposed FUUSM Operating Budget
<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wgB18kroC7WxeMnoTDSlweFO8l4tCP2X0sTpaACiO4Q/edit?usp=sharing>for
the fiscal year that begins in July 2023.
The proposed budget, which has been approved by the Board for presentation
to the Annual Meeting on April 23, is in Column D of the spreadsheet.
Column B shows what we actually spent in the previous year, Column C
shows what I project we will spend this year. We plan to continue to run a
deficit, which we have funds to cover for several more years.
If you would like more detail, there is a link to the Detailed Budget,
which uses somewhat different categories especially for spending on
personnel. There are also links to several other more detailed documents.
This is our annual operating budget. There are also off budget
expenditures, including major repairs funded by the Trust Funds, and also
the spending for the Chalice Lighters Committee. The Chalice Lighters
committee has prepared its own three year budget (its years are different
from our fiscal years). There is a link to that budget at the end of the
spreadsheet.
There is also a link to our Bank Balance which includes Trust Fund monies
that are not part of the operating budget but are intended mostly to keep
our historic building maintained. This shows monies that have been placed
in "special funds" that carry over from year to year, they do not need to
be spent in any one fiscal year.
There is also a link to a report of the long term trends in our "bottom
line".
If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, I would prefer that you
send them to me (your treasurer) by email rather than holding them for the
Annual Meeting when time will be limited. There is a Finance Committee
meeting next Monday where any remaining issues could be discussed.
