Dear UU members and friends,
Good news!  The annual UU yard sale will once again be taking place in the Fellowship Hall and courtyard this summer.  Nancy Lee and Shari Ballantyne will co-chair, but your help is very much needed to make this event a success:
1. Please start thinking about items to donate. No clothing, accessories, books, 8 track tapes or obsolete/broken equipment, please. 
2. Please clearly and securely price your donations before dropping them off. We know it’s a pain, but it’s the only way to make this sale manageable with a limited number of volunteers. 
3. There will not be a member preview. However, if you want to browse the sale prior to day of, please feel free to stop by, browse the inventory and help organize for an hour or so.  We’ll have the fellowship hall open and staffed for drop offs and browsers that week, hours to be announced. 
It seemed last year that donations were down somewhat. Perhaps that means we’re all running out of items we’re ready to part with, or perhaps it was just too much to have to price your items first. Please, please don’t let that stop you from donating. This year, we’re offering to do it for you in exchange for a $20 donation or a little bit of volunteer time. If you can’t do any of those things, don’t worry - just please don’t let that keep you from donating. We’ll manage. 
More details will be coming your way over the next few weeks. In the meantime, we ask that you please start bringing in bags and newspapers for wrapping items on day of sale. Receptacles will be placed at the rear of the fellowship hall for this purpose beginning next Sunday. 
Thank you in advance for all your help. Also, kudos to our wonderful plant sale team and all who bought and/or assisted in raising $2022.00 last week!!
