We got help with our attic insulation installation  and as George mentioned this morning, help with air conditioning the Sanctuary. This was not just “free money”, or a benevolent grant of some sort. This was the donations of a great many UUs in our region, including a few of us. Not only do we theoretically owe a larger share for what we have already received, but we may never qualify for another grant if more of us do not participate as actual donating Chalice Lighter members. Certainly our recent request was denied, in part, for this very reason.
