Are you a tree hugger? We may not be embracing one another for safety’s sake, but we can embrace the wisdom of the Druids.
The symbol of a Tree of Life is nearly universal, and shows our common bonds as well as our connection with nature.
You are invited to share your tree photos on this topic as we celebrate the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

FUUSM Happenings
The Cherish ALL Life Project You’re invited to make a mini movie on your phone to investigate this years’ theme question: How can we be mindful and authentic in cherishing all life? I am asking members and friends to make a short movie, so we as viewers can experience the life of the one who creates the movie. Photos are welcome and will be in the final product but try a short movie. Send your movie to me – Jane Tumas-Serna (jtumas.serna at gmail.com)

June Sunday Service Schedule
Sunday June 6, 2021 Flower Communion ~ Live Service and Ceremony.
Bring your flower or plant to share in this annual exchange as we build a community bouquet.
The Flower Communion will be different this year. Safety measures (sign-in, masks and healthy spacing) will be followed, and everyone is invited to bring a flower from home. (Extras will be available, and are welcome if you have some to bring). The gathered bouquet is a symbol of diversity. In the entry way, the congregation will contribute and create bouquets in vases, that will be brought forward during the service. We will use the aisles for healthy spacing as we exit in one direction, taking a different flower from the display to carry it home. There will also be a Flower Meditation (slideshow)- Send your photos to Rev. Kat.
The Zoom presentation will not be the focus of this service, but it will be available.

Juneteenth Sunday June 20, 2021 (Father’s Day)
Pride begins with knowing our own worth, and having it affirmed by those we love and admire. Long have we lauded
the famous forefathers of our religious institutions, yet voices from the margins have been missing, and the full stories
and humanity has been limited by a narrow view. Breaking down gender stereotypes benefits everyone and all.
Sunday June 27, 2021 Sunday Morning Worship ~ General Assembly
The First Universalist Church of Minneapolis has been a model of shared ministry and what it means to put the work of dismantling white supremacy and building anti-racist, anti-oppressive practices at the center of their ministry. They have been on the front lines in support of the Movement for Black Lives in Minneapolis, bringing spiritual care and moral leadership in the wake of George Floyd’s murder by police and the important uprisings for justice that followed. Children and families are a vital part of their ministry, and they have been using creative approaches to engage all ages in worship during the pandemic. Their leadership exemplifies some of the best practices for the creativity, spiritual depth, and moral leadership that is possible when we embrace the work of shared ministry rooted in love and justice
