*Use face masks that cover nose and mouth. We have some available if you forget to bring your own.

*Wash hands/use hand sanitizer upon entering building.

*No food or beverages in the building– you can’t eat/drink with a face mask on.

FUUSM Happenings

The Cherish ALL Life Project You’re invited to make a mini movie on your phone to investigate this years’ theme question: How can we be mindful and authentic in cherishing all life? I am asking members and friends to make a short movie, so we as viewers can experience the life of the one who creates the movie. Photos are welcome and will be in the final product but try a short movie. Send your movie to me – Jane Tumas-Serna (jtumas.serna at gmail.com)

LOOKING AHEAD

Sun. May 30 OUTSIDE ACTIVITY - Join us after the service in the Courtyard

Memorial Garden with healthy spacing and masks as we gather to honor and remember our FUUSM people who

have served and died.

Sunday June 6, 2021 Flower Communion ~ Live Service and Ceremony.

Bring your flower or plant to share in this annual exchange as we build a community bouquet.

The Flower Communion will be different this year. Safety measures (sign-in, masks and healthy spacing) will be followed, and everyone is invited to bring a flower from home. (Extras will be available, and are welcome if you have some to bring). The gathered bouquet is a symbol of diversity. In the entry way, the congregation will contribute and create bouquets in vases, that will be brought forward during the service. We will use the aisles for healthy spacing as

we exit in one direction, taking a different flower from the display to carry it home. The Zoom aspect will not be

the focus of this service, but will be available. There will also be a Flower Meditation (slideshow).

Register for the all-virtual 2021 UUA General Assembly

General Assembly (GA) is the annual meeting of our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Participants worship, witness, learn, connect, and make policy for the Association through democratic process. Anyone may attend; congregations must certify annually to have voting delegates.

If you haven't registered for Virtual GA 2021 already, there is no better time than right now! Registered attendees are among the first to hear program announcements, such as the Ware Lecturer, and only registered attendees will have access to the NEW! GA app. So, register early to join online discussions, familiarize yourself with the GA schedule, and find your place in our community of communities. Registration is $200 per person. Financial support for registration as well as a payment plan are available.

Community Events

Good news! In case you haven’t heard, everyone across the country – 16 years of age & older – is now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. This applies to all U.S. States, Territories and the District of Columbia.

If you haven’t gotten a COVID-19 vaccine yet, do so as soon as you can. Getting vaccinated is an important tool to help end the pandemic, and it’s your best protection from getting COVID-19. We can do this!

Everyone-whether you have health insurance or not, can get a vaccine at no cost. It’s free! We’re all in this together.
