How am I Addressing White Supremacy?
…Being in a learning and growth zone is a never-ending process, there’s not a
finite deadline or expiration date- in fact, this is just the beginning.

Jacqueline Woodson (Discussing Racism with Kids) It’s up to us to decide
whose narrative we will not only choose to see, but choose to believe.

Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party (MFDP) Vice Chair, Fannie Lou Hamer-
If the Freedom Democratic Party is not seated now, I question America.
Is this America? The land of the free and the home of the brave?

Cleveland Sellers, SNCC After Atlantic City (Democratic Convention)
… our struggle was not for civil rights, but for liberation.

Black Liberation Theology
Definition of liberation theology. : a religious movement especially among Roman Catholic clergy in Latin America that combines political philosophy usually of a Marxist orientation with a theology of salvation as liberation from injustice.	Gustavo Gutierrez

James H. Cone first addressed this theology after Malcolm X's proclamation in the 1950s against Christianity being taught as "a white man's religion".[5] According to black religion expert Jonathan L. Walton:
James Cone believed that the New Testament revealed Jesus as one who identified with those suffering under oppression, the socially marginalized and the cultural outcasts. And since the socially constructed categories of race in America (i.e., whiteness and blackness) had come to culturally signify dominance (whiteness) and oppression (blackness), from a theological perspective, Cone argued that Jesus reveals himself as black in order to disrupt and dismantle white oppression [Wikipedia]
