Sad News George Lisk

Don’t go before or follow behind, just walk beside me and be my friend.

George Lisk has breathed his last, but he lived right up until the end,
enjoying a holiday luncheon at the Ballantyne Barn, earlier this month.
He was a companion of many on the long and winding road of recovery, showing great determination, honesty and kindness. His sweetheart,
partner and wife Brenda is supported by her family, faith and community.

A viewing/visitation is scheduled for this Sat. Dec. 18 at Hadley’s funeral home in Reno. (afternoon time -TBD)

George rolled up his sleeves to do dishes for the community meal. He was a craftsman in bodywork and rode motorcycles for many years.
After receiving chemotherapy at Strecker Cancer Center, he volunteered and was recognized as a Volunteer of the Month for turning his challenge into a way to help others. He was a comfort and inspiration to many.

I recall that we talked in wonder of such forgiveness as the violet which
offers a sweet scent to the foot which crushes it.

In memory and love,
your minister, Rev. Kathryn Hawbaker
