Sunday Sept. 20 Ingathering Water Ceremony ~
In the Courtyard (9:30am & 10:15am & on Zoom from Sanctuary (11am).
As all things are different and changing, this year’s annual Water Ceremony will refer to our traditions, and
also happen in new ways. When there was a Sternwheel Festival, it made a strong connection to have it on the
same weekend, and it marked our Ingathering -the beginning of the FUUSM Program Year (like the school year). This year we have scheduled the event at the time of the AutumnaAutumnal Equinox, to reinforce our environmental work and education with an earth-based spiritual orientation. You are invited to bring actual water for the ceremony into the courtyard, ,and send photos (for a slideshow) of your sacred waters from this year or previous years.
Please send photos to Rev. Kat Hawbaker by Wed .Sept. 16 and include your name and the name of the place or body of water.

UU the Vote
UU the Vote is a non-partisan faith initiative, in partnership with broader justice movements, to engage our neighbors, educate our communities, mobilize voters, and rally around key ballot initiatives. Join with your UU community to create a future defined by love, justice, and faith. #Votelove
UUs in Ohio and UU Justice Ohio (UUJO—our state action network) have been partnering with the Ohio Organizing Collaborative (OOC) https://www.ohorganizing.org/ - a coalition of front line community organizations working for justice and electoral justice here in our communities. It’s the homestretch, and we’re asking for UUs from around the country to join us on Thursday, September 17th at 4 pm EST as we call voters across the state leading up to the November election. We will be reaching out to people who get targeted for voter suppression — helping them get what they need to check their registration, register online if needed, answering questions about voting by mail/ early voting. We’ll be using ThruTalk to make our calls and will provide training at the phonebank. We recommend that you preview the platform on a YouTube video HERE. And we will be connecting folk to our online voter registration page at OHVOTES.ORG as we talk with them (When possible - See the button marked “Registration with Help.”)
Sunday Sept 13th #VoteLove #DefeatHate 6pm ET/3pm PT on YouTube Live
Join us for a Get-Out-The-Vote benefit concert with our friend and powerhouse performer/songwriter, Lea Morris, Three Sheets to the Wind and monologues from Sarah Siegel & Randall Swinton! The event benefits the New Florida Majority Education Fund, which in 2020 is "mobilizing to significantly expand democratic rights for communities that have been historically marginalized, excluded and silenced.”
Come support justice-making in this key swing state!
