August Events:
Women's Group Wed. August 8- 6pm at Diana Bonnell's home at 106 Bittersweet Drive, Marietta. Directions from church: Take Putnam Street to Glendale. Once you get to the Glendale and Colegate interception, continue on Glendale 1-1/2 miles until you come to Pine Meadows subdivision of left (Wagner Union Church is on right side of road). Turn left onto Grant Edwards drive. Bittersweet is first road on the left next to the pond. Limited driveway parking so carpooling is encouraged. Social Justice Forum – Youth Panel Sunday, Aug. 5 (1-3pm)
The youth are creating a panel to discuss school safety.
We endeavor to listen to and consider the people most affected by this topic, our youth.
Just Dinner Potluck Friday, August 17 (6pm) in the FUUSM Social Hall.
Sponsored by the FUUSM Green Sanctuary Committee.
Thinking about the social and environmental impacts of the food we eat, and making grocery shopping and gardening choices based on our values, and then sharing the food and our thoughts with others over a delicious meal—that’s a Just Dinner..
Invite your friends and neighbors who may be interested.
Sun. August 19 All Ages Visit to the Planetarium - FUUSM's annual look at the stars at the Anderson Hancock Planetarium at Marietta College.
A facilitated "Cozy Conversation" will be offered in the Social Hall for any who opt out of the planetarium trip.
