For this Sunday, September 10, the Today's Issues group will discuss two
articles from the August 17 issue of the New York Review of Books:

Page 14, The True American by Robert Pogue Harrison, a review of a number
of recent books about Henry David Thoreau

page 64, Making Memories by
Israel Rosenfield and Edward Ziff a review of
Patient H.M.: A Story of Memory, Madness, and Family Secrets by Luke
Dittrich, about the brain and how memories are created.

The group meets in the parlor of the Religious Education building next to
the church at 9:30 on Sunday mornings.  Please do the reading and join our
lively discussion.

A copy of the Readings is attached.
