[Fuusm-l] Meeting July 11 Noon Interfaith Dialogue

FUUSM Members & Friends:

     Attached is a clipping from an article on interfaith dialogue that appeared in today's edition (July 9) of the Marietta Times, Focus  on Faith section.

    As the article describes we are planning some long-term events on interfaith dialogue for this community. Several FUUSM members are involved in this initiative.

    I would encourage others to submit pieces to the Focus on Faith section of the MTimes or to the opinion age--if for no other reason to counter the opinion expressed in the very prejudicial (anti-Muslim) letter that appeared in the July 7 edition of the MTimes. 

   As a reminder of our denominational commitment, I'll mention that one of the Actions of Immediate Witness supported at the 2016 UUA General Assembly was "Building Solidarity with our Muslim Neighbors."
