INTRO TO TAI CHI
(Speaker, Cat Bigley)
** - We'll start gathering at 7 pm, Cat's talk will begin at 7:30 and end
approximately 8:30, with open discussion afterwards among the participants.
Like yoga, Tai Chi offers many of the health benefits of a low- impact
movement art. Stemming from Kung Fu, Tai Chi allows students to flow through
postures at a slow, gentle pace. Many of the health benefits offered by Tai
Chi include stress relief, relaxation, gentle joint movement, and helps with
arthritis, balance, coordination, and memory.
Thousands of hours teaching active seniors in the Mid-Ohio valley has lead
Cat to recognize and value the benefits of all ages learning Tai Chi. Her
goal is to make the art more accessible for students in the classroom, young
parents at home, and all ages using the benefits in the work place. The
ability to take the stigma of 'an ancient Chinese art' and turn it into a
beneficial movement art will open more people to the idea of Tai Chi.
Open to the public. Love donations accepted.
(Covers group operating costs and allows offering free events)
