9.22.22 UUA Newsletter Supporting Each OtherDear Worship & Music Committee members,

I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with email list this. My best guess is to share it with you. Perhaps you already subscribe to this newsletter? If so, sorry for the redundancy. --dawn

Dear First UU Society of Marietta,

As we enter into this new congregational year with so much in flux within and beyond our sanctuary doors, we can rest in the certainty of our support for each other. We are a spiritual, interdependent community that is committed to compassion and equity in our relationships. And when we join together, we offer a powerful, life-saving ministry to our people and communities. Your UUA is committed to imagining with you ways to partner, share, and find balance to provide the kind of love and care so needed in our communities right now. This newsletter shares some information and resources to get us started as we begin the church year.

                              With you on the journey,

                              Rachel

Rachel Walden supports UUA Communications as senior manager for digital & marketing strategy. When she's not brainstorming content with her colleagues, you'll likely find her outside.

Welcome members back this year with the loving Ingathering message of justice and inclusion from UUA President Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray. Congregations are encouraged to use this video and any other video content on our UUA YouTube channel to supplement their own worship materials.

Your UUA Congregational Life leadership team has identified some key challenges facing congregations in this liminal time. They are committed to providing resources and online spaces to gather, learn from one another, and get through this year with gusto. In this post from the leadership team, learn more about how your regional staff, located in communities across the country, can support your congregation.

One creative solution to the problem of insufficient staffing is to consider an online resource for congregations offering staff for collaboration. As a new section of the UUA Jobs Board, we have created a Congregational Collaboration Board to facilitate connections between congregations offering or seeking staff. Anyone can browse basic information on the Board and you only need to set up a login to gain access to contact information or to post new listings.

It has just gotten easier to access a wide variety of Unitarian Universalist resources to support the spiritual life and programming in your congregation. The Rev. Erika Hewitt, UUA minister of worship arts, has created a new video to help everyone find more of what they need in our deep database of online worship materials. Find complete recorded services, music videos, readings, and so much more on WorshipWeb.

ICYMI on UUA Facebook: When we invite our social media followers into a deeper connection with Unitarian Universalist sources and traditions through our Facebook posts, we find that many others connect with the content, too. Our post about Lammas, the first of three celebrations of the harvest in coming months, gave our online community greater insight into the Earth-based spiritual traditions that enrich our Unitarian Universalist faith.
