I sent a copy of the news release below to the Marietta Times.  I plan 
to post something on FUUSM's fb page as well.  Anywhere else you want me 
to promote the May 1st service?

Updates for June 5th service

The June service working title is "LGBTQ as a movement:  I am who I am" 
with Wayne and Lee from the Blennerhassett Hotel.

They are in charge of the service reflection.  Not sure what else they 
want to plan for the service. Roger and I are meeting with them next 
Sunday for a brief talk about the service and their Homecoming 
participation.

Kat;  what do you want to add to the service?  how do you want to 
participate?  I know this subject is dear to you?

We will need photos to show for the service I am sure; if we have some.


July homecoming updates:

We have been busy negotiating with the Blennerhassett Hotel owners about 
various activities and food for the homecoming. Updates will follow 
prior to May's worship and music committee meeting.

Also, we met with Rileigh Trembley (9, soon to be 10) to help us design 
the Friday night picnic event.  There will be live music but also two 
fun engaging games that we hope will get adults and children connecting, 
plus the goal is for the children to have fun memories through something 
we use during the games.  This will enable them to perhaps go home and 
get the adults in their lives to have fun with them as well.  Tall order 
- but then, we have to reach high if we want youth to engage with us, 
and also encourage the adults in their lives to participate.

One thing for sure, we are going to need volunteers for the weekend.

Martha, is it possible to talk to Jane and work on creating a poster we 
can record the dance card names on?
