[Worship] May service

Updates:

The *May first Sunday Homecoming 2022 Sunday service* is shaping up to 
be super fun - just the kind of mix that we all love.  We envision an 
abbreviated service like we have occasionally with music, reading and 
lighting of the challenge with a few words of love and encouragement 
from Kat, and a couple of minutes of Laurel Hobden sharing her passion 
for the earth and all beings.  Laurel Hobden, a Columbus-based artist 
and activist will have her work on display, including hanging some 
banners on the railings outside if weather permits.  There may be other 
art on display as well.  The drumming circle will be there for the 
Maypole, and then during coffee hour there will be music by Mike Mullin, 
Betsy Kalter and perhaps one other person.  I hope the children will be 
able to stay so we can enjoy their energy.

For*June's first Sunday* we are working on two or three either in-person 
or by video short stories by folks from the LGBTQ community and Roger is 
reaching out to Corey Sampson to see if he will lead that day.  We 
expect to have a surprise guest or two and are hoping that we can have 
lots of focus on whatever activities FUUSM will have going for the rest 
of the month.  Hopefully dance cards will be given out and there will be 
some sort of art work or chart to demonstrate the folks we've enlisted 
on our dance cards.

We're just beginning to think about*July's first Sunday service* but it 
will have a big focus on the Homecoming activities at the end of the 
month.  We have talked about trying to get Ted Strickland to speak that 
day or give us a video on his connection to FUUSM.

Homecoming weekend is shaping up:

_Friday evening:_ We spoke briefly to Katy Daniels about having her 
children joining up with the Shukla children, and Raleigh Trimbly to 
help plan the children games and prizes for the Friday evening picnic 
and church tour.  There will be live music - Mike Mullen is helping us 
with that.  We are hoping for Ukulele music.

_Saturday_:  music/entertainment with lite lunch/drinks in the church 
garden. Music may come from various groups or someone famous. We have 
confirmed that we will unveil the sculpture Concretia at the event.  The 
goal is to have it arrive at FUUSM the week before the event in a cop 
truck or historic vehicle or fire truck to generate publicity in 
community.  Working on asking Blennerhassett, Marietta College, or 
Valley Gem about food donations.  Need to decide exact structure of 
event by April 11^th .

_Sunday_:  coffee hour concert and church tour with Randall pre-recorded 
music and special coffees drinks in the garden for meet and greet prior 
to and after the church tour (assigned times and encourage people to 
invite friends to join them after the Sun. service). Ask Coffee Klatch 
crew to organize the coffee portion of the event. Kerry Blair magician?

Still need volunteers and we meet on the phone Mondays 6 pm.  If you
