[Worship] Fwd: Adeline, your values in action

Hello, W& M friends,

Prepping for our July 1 meeting:

We are behind times for meeting UUSC's June 30 matching gift
opportunity, but we could still use the UUSC Sunday service that is
available to show online (link in this newsletter).  I haven't watched
the whole thing yet, but what I looked at was really good! (I especially
enjoyed the virtual choir selections.) Could be plugged in for a service
(or part of a service) in August, if we need to take a break from
developing everything ourselves. I apologize for redundancy if you've
already received this from UUSC.

See you on Zoom Wednesday!

Adeline

*Continue Taking Action to Defend Black Lives and Dismantle White Supremacy*

The United States will never truly live up to its potential until
racism, white supremacy, and bigotry are eradicated. UUSC is expanding
its anti-criminalization work and encouraging its members to follow the
wisdom of Black-led organizations. We all have a role to play in
supporting movements for racial justice and mobilizing to defend Black
lives.

*VOICES FROM THE FRONTLINES*
*On Sacred Land: Protecting Tribal Sites from Fracked Gas*

UUSC and its members are actively supporting the Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribe
of Texas as they fight to protect their land, specifically the Garcia
Pasture, from Texas LNG, who seeks to build fracked gas terminals on
sacred sites. You can now listen to testimony from the recent
Carrizo/Comecrudo Tribunal for Human Rights that affirms their inherent
right to protect the land, their right to survival, and their right to
recognition.

*IN YOUR CONGREGATION*
*Resources Are Ready for Your Virtual UUSC Sunday *

Bring UUSC Sunday to your congregation this summer! In times of crisis,
looking to moments in our shared history when we rose to the challenges
before us can offer important lessons — as well as hope. A special
virtual UUSC Sunday with UUSC President and CEO, Rev. Mary Katherine
Morn, is available now. We invite congregations to use the entire
service or the elements that best suit your summer service needs. Join
us as we explore how congregations have brought our Unitarian
Universalist values to the fight for human rights since UUSC’s founding
80 years ago and how, together, we will continue the work of justice
into the future.
