FYI -- Please see information to consider as we plan August and September services at tomorrow's meeting, 5:30 p.m. on Zoom.   The potential title for Dr. Sibicky's reflection is below.  We'll see as we gather all information whether August 16 will work for the date.

Dear Martha: Not sure you received my last email as I sent it from my phone.


Again I would be happy to give a short zoom presentation. If possible Sunday Aug. 16th (If that works for you all, if not we can find another date).


I guess my talk title would be:


The Social Psychogy of a Pandemic: Conspiracy Theories, Social Anxiety, and why some people won't wear a mask.

Greetings, Dr. Sibicky --

We are scheduling reflections for the services in August and September and wonder whether you could speak briefly about what research tells us about how people/societies are affected by uncertainty or another topic of your choice.  

Our Sunday worship services are being held on Zoom, so you could join the "meeting" and be highlighted to give your remarks.  Probably the biggest challenge will be the 15 to 20 minute time limit.  

Your perspectives on our human experiences are always valuable (I still think often of the connection you made between fear of mortality and behavior/decision-making), so we welcome any insight you would be willing to share.

As usual, the services start at 11:00 a.m.  At this point, the dates in August and September are flexible, so let us know what would be most convenient for you.
