Hi, Rebecca et al. --
I think any collection when Farmer is here will go to SYFA and their water projects.
Doesn't the Board determine the recipients for each month? I don't know how flexible the schedule is. We could ask.
Also, we could plan long term to coordinate the split-the-plate collection with the ingathering water ceremony or the Sunday closest to that service.

Hi Rebecca,
As logical as that seems, the 24th is the
fourth Sunday, thus the Going Forth split plate Sunday, with the Betsey being the recipient. So, probably not any other special collection.
Per Gene, Farmer will be here in May, and some kind of fundraiser may be part of his visit. (Maybe connected with the children's book?)

Hello, all,
Andrew Clovis and I will be doing the World Water Day service, and one of the activities suggested by the UUA is a special offering for the UUSC's access to water projects. It occurs to me that we could take up a special offering for SYFA as part of the service, perhaps using blue receptacles to represent water. What do you think?
