Here's a reply from Meg Hoke with specifics about their presentation.

The preferred date for them is June 10, which may be better for us, too.  [Flower Communion on June 3, their presentation on June 10, Father's Day Picnic on June 17]

Hi Martha.  Meg Hoke here.  

Thanks for your quick reply and interest in us.   Here are more details:

  1.. We usually receive somewhere between $150-$300 depending on how large the congregation is and whether it is one or two services.  Congregations usually consider us as a speaker and a musician and that often taps into two separate budgets.  But we are pretty reasonable people, so just let us know what you can do. 
  2.. We greatly appreciate hospitality.  We will be on our way home from visiting family, and don’t have friends or family in Marietta. 
  3.. This is a full service.  We can carry the whole service with the exception of welcome and business, and any of your specific rituals such as joys and concerns and offering which are usually better done by you all.  Also, if there are specific ritual songs, it’s better to have someone who knows them and can lead them.  Todd can provide all the other music. 
  4.. Actually, it turns out that June 10th is the preferable date.  
  5.. Finally, I want to offer that we could make a full weekend of it if you like.  Todd is available for a straight up concert on the Saturday before.   I have no idea why your computer doesn’t like his website, but you can see some videos of him here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhzVVXqCq10

Thank you for inquiring about a possible presentation of "5 Happy Things" for the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta.  The Worship & Music Committee will need to discuss the issue at a meeting or, at least, via email.  Can you fill us in on some details?

 

1.  What do you charge?

2.  Do you need hospitality (boarding and meals)?

3.  How long is your presentation?

4.  Are you thinking of a Sunday morning service?  

5.  If so, what components of the service do you want to be responsible for?

6.  Is the June 3, 2018 the only possible date?
