Good morning, all,

Obviously, we will not be meeting face to face this month as we continue to stay "safe at home," in Dr. Acton's words. I miss our wide-ranging conversations and (of course!) wonderful food. In lieu of an actual meeting, I am hoping we can check in. And in honor of both spring and Mother's Day, two topics: a spring photo or something you want to say about this spring, and/or the name of a woman who has inspired you/taught you/mothered you, and part of her story if you so choose.

Check-in
As an introvert, I am actually rather enjoying not having to go much of anywhere--suspect that I will have difficulty venturing out again. Living next to the arboretum and having an expansive view across treed green space is a plus. Like many of us, I am engaging in several Zoom activities each week and am REALLY being nourished by the Monday evening Cakes for the Queen of Heaven class.

The irises are blooming. This variety appears in paintings from at least the 1700s. My first start of it came from my mother.

So many women have been important to me that, even though I suggested the topic, I am going to have to think about it for a while.

Blessings on you all.

Rebecca
