Hi Nancy and Lovely Ladies...Sorry I won't make it Wednesday but I have a previously scheduled Potluck to celebrate Thanksgiving.Since I'm not going to be there, I thought I'd share some if my gratitudes with you. I have s-o-o many that I'll just pick a couple... so that I won't be writing a novel!!!The first is: I am so happy and thankful to be ALIVE!!!The second is: I have my hearing back and no longer need hearing aids! I was made so much more aware of what a blessing it is... hearing very extraordinary music with my REAL ears this past weekend! Saturday night was Dr. Julio Ribeiro Alves, a fantastic classical guitarist. Second half of concert at WSCC had David and Cynthia Puls on violin and cello accompanying him. Then, on Sunday, I saw Jake Shimabukuro on ukelele at Peoples Bank Theatre. He REALLY IS the Jimi Hendrix of the uke!!! Couldn't believe he got that sound out of those 4 strings!!!Several times during these concerts I had tears rolling down my cheeks because...I AM BLESSED to be hearing this wonderful music!!! You ladies have a GOOD time sharing your GRATITUDES!Small Footnote: Found out yesterday that I am facing 1 or 2 more surgeries on the left side of my face (sinuses). As I told my doctor: "Since I've already had a craniotomy plus more...this is easy peasy for me!"Peace...Love...LightbevPowered by Cricket Wireless------ Original message------From: Nancy Novak via WomenDate: Thu, Nov 1, 2018 9:50 PMTo: Women's Group;Cc: Nancy Novak;Subject:[Women] November meeting: another NancyHello, all,Everyone is invited to Women’s Group at my house on Wednesday, November 14, 6:00 p.m. We’ll eat first and then sit around and discuss. Let’s talk about gratitude in this month of Thanksgiving. Studies show that grateful people are happier, less depressed, less stressed, and more satisfied with their lives. A few months ago we had a husband/wife speakers saying that the practice of being thankful for 10 things every day has helped them tremendously. Let’s talk about the subject. Ideas below…You are thankful for a person or group in your life…A special animal or thing in your life that you are grateful for…How do you show your gratitude…Gratitude for the present moment…Is gratitude a spiritual practice…What about starting a ritual of practicing gratitude….NancyDirections from Marietta:Take Route 14 for 6 miles to Rosemar Road.
