[Men] undecorating at the church

Hi all,

This Sunday, January 5, is the day scheduled for our taking down the holiday decorations at the church. I will not be available to assist because a planned attendance at a wedding of an old friend in Athens.

Cold weather and a significant snowfall, beginning Sunday afternoon, may impact both events. If conditions permit and we have a few volunteers, I doubt it would take much time to remove the garland and lights as well as the two door hangers and store them in the choir loft. The weather forecast for the next couple of weeks does not appear to be much more favorable, so I think it best to get it done. The extension cords and timer belong to Darryl and should be set aside for him. Note: there is a fire safety inspection scheduled for Monday and the items should be neatly organized and stored in the choir loft.

I received the following email message from Martha McGovern regarding tomorrow's "undecorating:"
The vision Jane and I had was to take down the holiday decorations after the service on this Sunday (January 5).
I'm not sure the weather is going to cooperate with us - especially for the outside decorations.
We'll leave it to you to coordinate with the crew that helped with installation of the lights, etc. I don't think there is big time pressure to take them down.
Thank you for facilitating the decoration and other activities of FUUSM.

Should the weather prove to be too severe, or we lack the volunteers, the work can be scheduled for a time when the conditions are better.

Gary
