The Men's Group will be at my place in Fleming (near Barlow) this
Wednesday, April 20. I plan to grill hamburgers and hot dogs. If anybody
wants veggie burgers, let me know by Monday. Please bring side dishes,
desserts, beverages or whatever as usual.
It looks like the weather will be marginal, high of 59 and only a 7% chance
of rain. But that's not a problem, there's plenty of room indoors There
is sufficient parking. Here are the directions:
>From Marietta: From the intersection of Rt 7 and Rt 550 on the West
(Harmar) side, drive 8 miles west on 550 towards Athens until you see the
sign for the "town" of Fleming. You will see the "Fleming Mall" on your
left, currently closed. Just after the "Mall" is the intersection with
Anderson Road. Turn right on Anderson Road and go 2.3 miles to 2404
Anderson Road. You will go down into a ravine, and cross a bridge over the
"muddy branch" of Wolf Creek. Our house is then the next one on the right,
an A-Frame up a hill. You can park on the driveway or on the lawn if need
be.
>From Vienna: You can take the toll bridge and turn right on Rt 7. Then go
left on "Blue Knob Road" (the left turn is a bit after the right turn onto
Blue Knob) which runs into 550. Turn left on 550 and follow the
directions above. If you miss Blue Knob, you can just follow Rt 7 on to
550 and turn left.
>From Parkersburg: You can take the new bridge on Rt 50 and follow the
signs for 339 North towards Beverly. Take 339 North until the intersection
with 550 in Barlow. You will see the White Oak pharmacy on your left.
Turn right on 550, back towards Marietta, and go about 3 miles to the
intersection with Anderson Road. (If you come to the "Fleming Mall" make a
U-turn in the parking lot, Anderson Rd is just before the "mall" coming in
this direction. Turn left on Anderson, You will go down into a ravine,
and cross a bridge over the "muddy branch" of Wolf Creek. Our house is then
the next one on the right, an A-Frame up a hill. You can park on the
driveway or on the lawn if need be.
